I always thought it was cringy that I'd take a flight on most American airlines (including that one) and they would take 15 minutes during boarding to explain exactly what order you are supposed to board depending on what credit card you have which was linked to whatever airline was bought by your airline.

Makes sense that they weren't paying the crew to do that because it wouldn't be worth their time.
