Hi!

Initially, belief.garden was a questionnaire on various civil discussion and philosophical topics, where one could create a profile.

I made this site a few months ago, and today I added public discussions, notifications, a global activity feed, and a moderation system, which actually makes it a social network.

Please take a look and tell me what you think

Why?

I clicked an example profile, 'Athena'.

I can now scroll for what feels like forever to see what they approved of, what they disapproved of, with soulless AI generated slop background photos with the foreground being dictionary definitions of words/phrases.

Sometimes they add a comment?

All summarized in a donut chart which doesn't really convey any sort of stat.

I'd rather spend my evenings browsing brain rot Tiktoks than this.

Well that particular user didn't comment much besides making the choices. It becomes more interesting if you actually care about the other user as a person.

Yes, the profile is a facet of the person.

This site is like the evolution of geek code - just put a link to your belief profile in your profile/share with friends

This seems quite cute, actually! You’ve got a nice idea here with good execution. I’ll make an account soon, when I have a bit more free time.

Not a fan of the AI slop images, and I’d prefer if it were federated, but it’s libre and small enough in scope that it’s fine by me. Good idea you’ve got here! ^ ^
