I was randomdly checking the Activity Monitor on my MacBook Pro 14-inch, Nov 2023 with Apple Silicon M3. I noticed the native macOS app of ChatGPT taking 10-20% of the CPU while it's not in the foreground...

Is it just really inefficient or doing a ton of http calls without reason?!

Is it possible chatGPT is offloading a bit of computation to my machine?!

Can you also check on your machine and let me know?

just checked on my M3 MacBook Air and both ChatGPT and Helper are at 0.0
