This is the first dissent in 30 years, since 1993.

I find it interesting that Trump releases market-tanking releases simultaneously with the Fed rate decisions. Today at exactly 2:30PM EST, he released 50% copper tariffs just as the FOMC was releasing their statement. I believe he wants the market to drop during Fed releases, as he's still trying to manufacture public outrage at Powell to justify his eventual removal, even though Powell appears to be the only adult in the room.
