That said, the "leave your phone behind" use case never appealed to me, and turning my watch's radios on in regular operation would reduce its battery life by an order of magnitude. Oh, there's obviously a fashion for the pretense of a tech-free life, but it never seems to improve the equanimity of its pursuers and so I haven't really seen the appeal. On another subject, you should email hn@ycombinator.com to get your account un-shadowbanned. That generally also is a better, or at least less in-band, way to raise concerns like the presence of obvious spam. Otherwise, the risk is that you'll get caught up in an imperfectly selective mass mod action to deal with a bunch of spam burners, as appears to have occurred a couple weeks ago.
