I find it funny how AWS goes out of their way in both providing really useful services for cost monitoring or optimization, yet at the same time do the exact opposite with all their recommendation bs.

Go and create RDS Aurora instance. Immediately you are banged with "2 recommendations" telling you to enable Performance Insights (extra paid unless your historical data is worthless, which it obviously isn't) and create a read replica (which will basically double the cost and 99% of the time you don't need it, otherwise you'd create it yourself).
