Currently, the main difference between the mafia state of Russia and the mafia state of the US is that in Russia, the windows are looser.

> Coinbase donated to President Trump's $300 million White House ballroom project as an appeal to the administration, Emilie Choi, the cryptocurrency exchange's president and COO, said at Axios' BFD event on Tuesday.

At least they're being honest about engaging in bribery and further enabling the corruption of the government.

Appeal to the administration does seem to mean "outright bribe".

Since crypto is for criming, it's not surprising Coinbase "donated". It is surprising that Axios reported so bluntly

> Driving the news: Axios' Dan Primack asked Choi whether the donation was intended "to keep good relations with the White House," to which she replied "sure."

The next Democratic president should just haul in every billionare and imply that a 2% wealth "donation" will be required to keep good relations with the American people. As the President can effectively tax and spend now.
