Good article, and the point of the author is well-taken, but I found the examples a bit disappointing. When I think, “never meet your heroes”, I’m thinking “great guitarist, but Jimmy Paige also shacked up with a 14 year old”, or “he made electric cars cool, buuut…”. That Dan Carlin might have a bias doesn’t contrast nearly as much, IMO.
