edit: He shows a phone with AI on the OS level. It has full control over the phone and takes reasonably complicated voice commands.

Thanks for showing this, what marvel of cooperating software. I specially like the asking dumb questions about the surroundings (the bikes) which is just beyond the cut off point for something interesting enough to do a normal web search.

it's also funny how slow it is eventho it has such beefy specs. I'm sure it takes ages to navigate all the bloated websites.

Since it understands all languages it should probably reply using the same one used by the user. No doubt it will get there.

A 10 yuan fine will be deducted from your account for dropping the milkshake lid on the ground in the park. You also get one formal warning for impersonating a police officer. :)

Last time I tried DeepSeek locally it performed hilariously bad on giving correct responses in - at least - Dutch.

I think it's because they have (had?) very inadequate training sets outside the English/Chinese language domain.

My experience with Gemma (Gemini) and Llama was bounds better at the time.

I'm not all that familiar with running things locally.

If I understood queries are uploaded to ByteDance Doubao assistant which in turn instructs the local ZTE’s 7B Nebula-GUI, a model trained to use (chinese) websites that can apparently control the entire phone.

Doubao has more users than Deepseek, the reference is probably for us oblivious westerners.
