“We don’t just want to offer assistance for part of your journey with us, but rather to support your needs during your entire journey.

Part of our service for passengers needing assistance boarding is luggage assistance wherein we take care of checking your bag through free of charge and issue you a priority assistance pass to help with collecting it at the end of your journey. We will check your bags at the originating airport during pre-boarding, ensuring they will be carefully loaded. This same assistance pass will ensure that our crew knows to keep you comfortably seated at the arrival airport while we arrange to assist you, so you won’t feel rushed.”

Let them game the system, just take away the incentive for the gaming. (Southwest did this by switching to assigned seating as it had gotten entirely out of hand due to their previous boarding scheme.)

This behavior is disgusting. So many entitled people. I'm of the belief that even if you have a handicap sticker but don't truly need a close parking spot, you don't take it. Leave it for those truly in need. I was raised that way, and to open doors, give up your seats for the elderly, women, especially pregnant women. Just old school respect I guess, that you really don't see too much of now a days. Just common decency and concern for your fellow human goes a long way I think.

I had an aunt that went to her doctor and requested a handicap parking placard. Doctor asked her reason for needing it. She responded, "because I am 70". She received the placard.

The lesson I learned from this is: Entitled people are enabled by other people who just don't care enough.

Definitely a bit of both. I have some vet friends that can get a handicap sticker and use it if they want, but they refuse to because they don't feel they absolutely NEED it.
