What's the best way to sanity-check severance/termination pay rules in Canada?

Hi folks. I’m in Canada and a friend was recently terminated (3 weeks ago). They were confused about what they’re actually owed (statutory minimums vs. what lawyers negotiate under common law, and how it varies by province vs. federal rules).

I saw an opportunity, so I built a simple “statutory minimum estimate” calculator to help people get a baseline, but I’m curious how others approach this problem.

Are there good sources you trust for province-by-province rules?

Any gotchas people repeatedly miss (termination pay vs severance pay, benefit continuation, vacation pay, etc.)?

If you’ve built tools in this space, what’s the best way to present disclaimers without making it useless?

If anyone wants to see the tool I built, I can share it in the comments. Just looking for ways to help people out during a crappy time.
