AI Fatigue. I'm a fan of AI but I've stopped clicking on stories about it because it's mostly hype, slop, fomo, and flat-out lies.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but the HN crowd is mostly uninterested in AI use. Much of the news is commentary around AI, but there's less interest in using it as a technology.

Seedance 2 is a lot like the DeepSeek moment last year. I fully expect it to blow up and then degrade into conversations about politics. But usually the hype overwhelms X first.

Probably because it isn't officially released yet.

Take a look at the fraction of slop posts about AI on /new and what gets to the front page. Frankly who cares about another model that is samey with all the other models? We all know there's going to be a better one in 0.10 sec.
