I found the Garry Tan's gstack README to be too linkedin-ey. Used Kagi to translate to plain English, and opened a PR.

Edit: [Link to translation on Kagi](https://shorturl.at/oSiiJ) -- shortened because Kagi stores text in the URL and it's massive.

Quote from the untranslated original:

> when the founders were just one or two people in a garage

Oh, that venerable Garage! Pops up every time when the founders try to conceal their wealthy familiy ties or other inconsistencies between tales and reality.

Some folks even believe that this "garage" must be read as "masonic lodge" :)

To me, the LOC claims in the original are such egregiously obvious bullshit (“while being a CEO” LOL) that an extremely blunt, even mean, response is extremely warranted.

This LinkedIn translator was a genius move by Kagi, honestly. A lot of people are incredibly tired not only of AI(-adjacent) writing, but overall of people with a stick up their ass thinking they're this generation's Aristotle.

Having their slop written out in plain English really shows you how vain it all is.

They actually did not add LinkedIn specifically. It's an AI translator that accepts anything in the `to` field.

So I've seen. It's just the LinkedIn one is what they advertised. Speaks to the fact that it's probably some slopcoded thing, which I'd usually get mildly upset about but who can muster the effort in this economy. I think the point still stands though.

You shouldn't pick up fights with them, even if they run out of ammo, they'll just use the stick up their ass as a backup weapon.

I'll show myself out of the Citadel.

They should make an extension for it (assuming it really is a small model behind the scenes and is relatively cheap to serve)

Most people don’t read Aristotle. If thousands of wannabe philosophers can paraphrase some of his ideas and make them accessible to the masses, that’s a net plus. If they can stroke their vanity along the way, even more people win.

It’s much better than writing bitter diatribes.

To be fair, he’s a much, much drier read than Plato.

...what is your actual point? I'm pretty sure none of the shit I read on LinkedIn is making "philosophical ideas accessible to the masses", it's churned out 20x regurgitated self-promotional material.

Is this a bot post?

This is how I find out that the CEO of YCombinator, and at the end of it all the person who ultimately rules over this very web-forum, has been the 10th employee of the very despicable Palantir Technologies.

We had a related joke in the good old days of communism here in Romania, it goes like this: "Two Securitate undercover agents, unbeknownst to each other and while queuing for buying bread early in the morning, start making jokes about Tovarășul [Ceausescu], hoping that in so doing they'll make the other one acquiesce into saying bad things about Tovarășul so that that would be reason enough for a political dossier. As the two Securitate agents were outdoing each other into saying more and more jokes about Tovarășul a third undercover Securitate agent, their boss, comes in and scolds them: 'A little bit more spread out, my boys, a little bit more spread out!'"

The same goes with these Palantir and other related despicable companies' former employees, they should spread out a little bit more, it's becoming way too obvious.
