I was going to call this a duplicate post but the other one is already flagged with 13 or more upvotes in a matter of minutes.

Yes, it had gotten flagged. I was reading this article and it got flagged and I genuinely couldn't let it go so I reuploaded. (I have written a comment about it)

It's sad to see such posts being flagged, like this isn't about wars but its about humanity. I just I don't know.

I don't know why that might get flagged, I just don't. Religion/Nation/Class, I think that this goes beyond all of that.

Almost all posts regarding Israel are immediately flagged. There are a few that make it through with the help of the moderators.

I am not sure about this but perhaps that might be the case but I think what I wish to convey is that this post has traumatized me on a more human level, news comes and goes but just thinking about it for a moment really just traumatized me.

I can't even begin to comprehend what the kid's family might've felt emotionally seeing the kid and on what level.

There was also the part about how her mother had been pregnant with a child and then the child essentially got mislaboured directly because of war.

On a more human level, I still don't know why people might flag these posts. Jewish faith had gone through immense torment and pain whether through the holocaust or numerous other struggles that they faced for thousands of years, It should mean that they should know about these struggles and realize the human aspects of it and not treat the other as some enemy or whatever and treat them as humans like they are.

I really wish to convey that if not anything, Obviously if someone who has flagged has certain beliefs and I feel like its hard to change beliefs but one of the most core aspects of any religion is the golden rule of treat others like how you wish to be treated and I am not religious but I still stand by it and I would like to raise (admittedly a very tiny voice on a forum) because thats how I might want other people to do the same if something might happen within my community. I hope I can convey this hopefully to anyone who might've flagged the previous post.

Nothing shocks anymore

With all this brutality and dehumanisation, no wonder the IDF are seeing the highest rates of PTSD and suicide.

>"The claims that the IDF abused a toddler are completely unfounded and serve Hamas propaganda." The spokesperson said.

>"On the contrary: The toddler was brought by a Hamas operative into a dangerous area to be used as a human shield.

Same old denials as usual, aren't they getting tired? These spokespersons don't know anything, their only job is to deny that anything happened. Which does work a lot if there are no witnesses or video. Same deal with the ambulances or journalists like Shireen Abu Akleh.

Deny. Deflect. Gaslight. Obfuscate. And if irrefutable evidence emerges, they deserved it. Weaponised narcissism by a country.

Someone had submitted the same article and I was reading that article and I was in complete and utter shock and then I reloaded the hackernews page and I saw the post flagged.

I really don't know/wish to know what your ideology is, but why this struck my mind was the imagination that this could've been my kid or this can be your kid, to whoever is reading this within wars and the brutality of this.

I just can't out of good faith, let that discussion be ended, it is worth talking and worth submitting again. I have also archived the web page on archive.org

"Mankind must put an end to war before war puts an end to mankind"

I just can't help but think, have we already lost mankind/(humanity?) in cases like these.

I wish for everyone to stay safe and hopefully, this time around, this post doesn't get flagged.

Have a nice day.
