This is definitely sending some mixed messages. BSD is stable, but the software he tries to install keeps crashing. BSD is really fast, but everything takes longer to do. Just reading this, I have no idea if I can use this for anything or not! (And I say that knowing the Mac I'm typing on right now has BSD ancestry in its kernel.)
